Our Journey to Sustainability
Hardams Recycling was established in May 2021 as an initiative under the Kayode Adamolekun Foundation, dedicated to empowering unemployed youths and widows, enabling them to become self-sufficient.
The core objective is to establish a robust plastic recycling ecosystem that provides individuals with the means to generate sustainable income and enhance their quality of life.
Empowered individuals receive training and initial capital to set up collection points in their respective areas, where they purchase plastic waste at competitive prices.
Once predefined collection targets are met, the recycling process is initiated, involving the transportation of collected waste to a dump site.
Subsequently, the company introduced enhancements to its operations, including the establishment of a baling point at the dump site. Here, PET bottles are compacted into discrete bundles known as bales, which are then sold in batches to receiving companies.
Further innovative strides led to the integration of crushing and washing line machinery, aimed at maximizing the economic potential of waste bottles while contributing to environmental sustainability.
The success of these endeavors prompted the Hardams Group to elevate recycling to a central enterprise. The company is now poised for expanded market production, with a strong commitment to generating economic value for the organization, society, human capital, and invested individuals alike.
